A lot of grass - but it's no lemon!
Featuring hemp bodywork, potato tyres, cashew nut shell brake pads and biodegradable engine oil, 'Eco One' is an environmentally friendly racing car built by engineers at the University of Warwick. It manages to be 90-95% recyclable or biodegradable with a power to weight ratio better than a Ferrari Enzo!
The car will be transported to events on a Brian James 'Clubman' trailer and the team are delighted with their choice, saying it allows them quickly and easily to load/unload the car.

Pope-mobile for sale again
For the second time in two years, eBay hosted an auction for a car said to be Pope Benedict XVI's 1999 VW Golf hatchback. Though bids surpassed $204,000, a reserve price wasn't met.
The car's owner, a Texas-based online casino, had posted two German automobile registration documents that list "Josef Kardinal Ratzinger" as the vehicle's previous owner.
How much they wanted for the trailer isn't recorded...

A-Max gathers some Moss
Stirling and Susie Moss competed in last month's Tour Auto event beginning in Paris. Stirling's MGB was transported to and from the event by his long time technical wizard Don Haldenby of DCH Autocraft.
The unfortunate early demise of the MGB was easily dealt with by the new Brian James Trailers A-Max that Stirling and his team were making full use of. We wish the team better luck next year!

New trailer for Nith Inshore Rescue
Brian James Trailers have a long record of manufacturing custom trailers to specific requirements, some aspects of which often find their way into our production models. So we were very happy to make a small trailer to carry the Nith Inshore Rescue boat. Operating in the fast currents of the Solway Firth, the Nith boat is a valuable service, requiring rapid deployment
Their committee were equally pleased with the service they received from us and our distributor West Skelston Services in Dumfries, making this project a particular pleasure. You can read their letter here.

| Autosport 2007
The Brian James Trailers stand at Autosport 2007 was popular with customers old and new, with much interest in the new A-Max trailer on display, suitably showing a new Ariel Atom comfortably aboard.
Other highlights on display was a rare public appearance in our Race Shuttle RS3 of the 2001 Subaru Impreza WRC given to the late Richard Burns for winning the 2001 World Rally Championship, kindly arranged by Bill Gwynne of Bill Gwynne Motorsport. Brian James Trailers have a new mobile office built into a Motor Shuttle body, the facility proved extremely functional and comfortable. The high quality interior fit out was undertaken by Keith Ree at KRM Motorhomes.
